Warranty Policy
Broadened Horizons, Inc. works very hard to ensure complete customer satisfaction. If you have a problem with any product delivered or service rendered, please contact us and we will do our best to resolve it.

Warranty Coverage
To ensure warranty coverage, be sure to register your purchase immediately if acquired through a Broadened Horizons reseller.
There is a 90 day warranty against manufacturing defects on switch enabled or otherwise modified devices and a one year warranty on all other items unless otherwise specified on product's webpage. Items found to have a manufacturing defect will be repaired free of charge. There will be a charge for repair, testing, and return shipping on all items out of warranty, not covered by warranty (i.e. physical damage), or which are under warranty but found to be functioning as expected (min 1 hour at standard shop rate - please call for pricing). Please note that these time frames and repair fees are as stated and cannot be changed. Repairs, alterations or modifications done by someone else other than Broadened Horizons will automatically void the warranty.
Important: If you are having trouble with a product, please refer to the troubleshooting tips in your user's guide. Try new batteries. Turn it off/unplug/remove batteries and then turn it back on. Finally create a support ticket within your customer account, using the Contact Us page, and emailing support. Please note the problem and what actions you have tried to resolve the issue.
If a product is believed to be defective, we will first work with you to troubleshoot the problem. If the problem cannot be resolved, the product is under warranty, and the problem seems to be a warrantable issue. We will issue a return authorization number (same as your support ticket number) so you can ship the product back to us or the original manufacturer for repair or replacement at our discretion. If a product is no longer under warranty we will inform you of your options for repair if possible, purchasing replacement parts if available, or replacement options if available. We work hard to take care of our customers.
The warranty explicitly excludes: physical damage, mishandling, introduction of foreign substances (food, drink, bodily fluids, etc), improper or unintended use, unauthorized service, or alterations/modifications. Your warranty may be denied at Broadened Horizons' discretion. The warranty does not cover any loss beyond repair or replacement of the warranted product originally purchased. Warranty excludes all other equipment such as wheelchairs, loss of use or access to services, discomfort, or inconvenience.
In no event will Broadened Horizons Inc. be liable to purchaser or any other person for any lost profits, lost savings, or other special, consequential or incidental damages arising out of or relating to any product or service furnished or to be furnished by Broadened Horizons Inc. or the use thereof, even if Broadened Horizons Inc. has been advised of the possibility of such loss or damage, and the aggregate liability of Broadened Horizons Inc. upon any claims howsoever arising out of or relating to any products or services furnished or to be furnished by Broadened Horizons Inc. will in any event be absolutely limited to the amount paid by purchaser.
Except as expressly provided above, products are furnished by Broadened Horizons Inc. and accepted by purchaser "As is", without any warranty whatsoever. Broadened Horizons Inc. specifically excludes and disclaims all other warranties, express or implied, including any warranties of merchantability or fitness for any particular purpose, and Articles 35(2)(a) and (b) of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (Vienna 1980).
Warranty Replacement Cross Shipments or Loaner Equipment.
Warranted product with valid return authorization must be received and examined before repair is performed or replacement shipped. No loan equipment will be provided. However in certain circumstances determined by Broadened Horizons a customer may request a new replacement item is cross shipped immediately before returning the suspected problematic item. Cross shipments are not always available or possible, but if it is determined that a cross shipment can be done, a credit card deposit payment must be made for the item or component being shipped out plus shipping (service type/speed chosen by customer). When the defective or problematic component is received back and determined to be warrantable, the credit card will be credited back for the full price of the item(s). Shipping is not refunded on warranty exchange cross shipments. If the item received is determined to not be warrantable or is in obviously used condition, the credit card deposit may be subject to fees or returned product may be repaired and sent back to customer to fulfill warranty, in which case the cross shipped item will have served as a loan and the credit card will be credited back only if the cross shipped/loaned item is returned and received in like-new resalable condition within 30 days, per our standard return policy.
